Custom Tournament

Have you ever wanted to create your own gaming tournament? Well here is your time to shine! Go to our Groups Page and click on ”Create a Group” at the top left of the page. Here you can create your own tournaments. It doesn’t matter if it is a tournament for try hards or for fun, just about any tournament is a good tournament. If you want a tournament to be Shotty Snipes in Halo or pistol only in Call of Duty, go for it! We will try to run all of the tournaments and all we need from you all (besides that whole creating the tournaments part) is go get people to join. Because without more people, we can’t have as much fun as we want. Also, don’t worry about giving prizes to the winners, that is where we come in. Last a member is aloud to have three tournaments groups up at once and if you’ll tournament runs you will earn some points, so make sure you go out and promote your tournament.

Hey guys not too much news on the eve of PAX prime inSeattleWashingtonbut all is quiet before the storm. But without further a due let’s get right into it.

PAX aka Penny Arcade Expo will be held on August 26-28. For those of you who don’t know what PAX is let’s break it down for you. PAX is help twice a year (Boston and Seattle) in which hosts a variety of video game stars and producers, shows off the latest upcoming games and shows off new ones to be released in the following year or years. Basically PAX is like Gamescom and E3 on a slightly smaller scale. PAX was created by Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik in 2004. PAX is basically the Thanksgiving of the gaming community. Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik idea was to give this community an insight into what the gaming world holds for them. PAX started out inSeattleat theWashingtonStateConvention Centerand has done so well that in 2010 PAX is now held twice a year in bothSeattleandBoston. PAX has helped bring the gaming community together in one big “festivus” and will continue to do so in the future.

Like I said PAX prime is coming up so let’s look at some things you will see there this year. You will see some games that you have seen before at Gamescom such as various Star Wars games, Uncharted 3, and maybe even some Halo goodies from 343 industries and Bungie. Speaking of which as you may have noticed in a past inquirer post 343 industries will be hosting Halo fest at this years PAX prime. Keep an eye out on Halo Anniversary gamplay and new cinematics and possible gameplay from the upcoming title Halo 4. Halo Fest will also feature interviews with directors, producers, and possibly actors from your favorite halo games so you do not want to miss out on the coverage.

If you have ESPN on your xbox 360 I have good news and bad news. The good news is that you’re getting a cool update. The bad news is that you’re getting an update. (No this is not a typo.) ESPN users for xbox can new have quicker access to all their favorite sports throught the new my sports tab and some other cool features. People who have all ready tried it said they really likes it but it does take some getting used to it. I personally have ESPN on my xbox and have gotten the new update. I’m always on the go and I need my Philly football and with the new add ons it really helps. I personally give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Earlier this week Deus Ex came out with some pretty decent numbers in sales. Check out this gameplay below.

The Daily Gaming News

Nothing big to talk about today, oh wait, I’m wrong! Official Xbox Magazine stated that later this summer we should expect a reveal of Grand Theft Auto V. This little tidbit of amazingness can be seen in the rumor section of the magazine’s latest issue. I don’t know about you guys, but I am stoked for this. When GTAIV came out sandbox games were radically different, it should be interesting to see how the iconic series has changed since the last installment.

In other news, all gamers should hate the Today Show, even if it is the greatest morning show. On today’s episode, the cast decided to jab at older people who play video games stating that basically it is creepy and wrong. Their main argument is that if you are in your thirties you should be doing other things besides video games.

Well to put it bluntly, fuck them :D It’s a hobby for most people anyways, so Today Show, your argument is invalid.

On a final heartfelt note, Bungie released a statement thanking everyone for all of the support of their flagship franchise. This marks the end of Bungie’s role with the Halo Universe as they hand over the reigns to 343 Studios. I think we all know that no matter how good Halo 4 will be, just about everyone will trash it for not being Bungie. But only time could tell and we hope that Bungie’s next project will be just as epic.
